oneM2M receives IoT standards award

oneM2M has been announced as the Top IoT Standards Body of the Year at the 7th Annual Compass Intelligence Awards in IoT, Mobile and Emerging Tech.

ETSI is a founding partner of the oneM2M partnership project, along with six other standards bodies: ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, TTA, TTC and TIA. TSDSI joined the project in 2015.

The 7th annual Compass Intelligence awards honours the top companies, products and technology solutions in mobile, IoT and emerging technology industries. Nominations come from companies, PR and corporate communications firms, and other colleagues. A selection is done by 40+ industry-leading press, editors, journalists, thought leaders and analysts.

The program includes three primary award categories: Mobile & Wireless, IoT (Internet of Things) and Emerging Tech, along with CompassIntel.com selected ‘of the Year’ awards. The 39 nominated awards and 5 Compass-selected awards identify the best in mobile devices and software, wireless technology, mobile applications, platforms, Internet of Things, wearables, robotics, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, connected products and emerging solutions.

oneM2M covers requirements, architecture, API specifications, security solutions and interoperability for machine-to-machine and IoT technologies. oneM2M specifications provide a framework to support applications and services such as the smart grid, connected car, home automation, public safety and health.
